A New Week

Well, I don't have a lot to say, and especially no pictures this week. We're not a very exciting family. Reg does get to go river running this week with the scouts and I will be here by myself pretty much, except for David, Matt and Danny who are always running in and out anyway, and not home much. So, hopefully, I'll get things done. Maybe next week, we can show some pictures of Reg's trip.
I have been feeling rather down lately and I need people to sign in to this blog and make some posts. We have a good start, but it will not be successful until we hear from everybody at least 2-3x. So get busy! I love all you guys. Hope to see you all at the family reunion next month, August 16.

Oh, it did work. Silly me. Gwen
O.K. I tried and it kind of worked. Except that I got Jocie twice and none of Troy, which I thought I did 3 times. Maybe, I will troy later.

Jocie at the Cabin--golfing

Hey Goodfellow Clan, I am excited to see this up and running again. Let's all keep it going. Summer is way too short here in Soda Springs. We have been busy and enjoying every minute of Summer. Jocie is the Cardette Drill Mistress this year and way motivated. They practiced in June a lot so they could perform in the Fourth of July parade. She convinced Troy to be the "Drummer". He was excited and practiced early mornings with the girls. Of course, mom got the "driver" job and Randy got the photographer job. All in all, it was pretty successful. Troy has been working hard at getting his Eagle Rank. He made 8 bat houses for the Forest Service and installed them in the forest. I will have to figure out how to post some pictures. Jocie is seriously into golf. She is taking lessons and golfing about 18 holes a day, at least. I love that she is so motivated and hope she can get a scholarship out of the deal. I have just been busy with my jobs and watering all neighbors yards. Randy and Gwen have golfed a little. Randy is fishing quite a bit. We have been on a few motorcycle rides and to Bear Lake a few times. Randy and Troy are getting ready to go to a High Adventure Scout camp. It is in the backcountry of Yellowstone on Shoshone Lake. It sounds like a lot of fun, but mom doesn't get to go. Wah! Well, tah tah for now, we will see if this works. Love, Gwen

An Invitation to join us

Well, I think I have this set up now so you can use this. I should get you all caught up on our family. I'm sure most of you already know anyway. Matt has finished his program, he cradled (graduated) Mar 4. He was working in South Jordan at McDonald's for a couple of months in transition, but now is working at Carl's Jr. in Orem. He is starting to train to be shift manager. He also graduated (at least he walked with his class) on May 20, but still needs a couple of classes to officially graduate. I'm not sure what he is going to do, because he isn't going to get done with his classes. Something went wrong there, but he will graduate. We kept housing boys for a while, but as of July 1, we haven't. We've been trying to stop since graduation, but they still needed us, so we kept it up. It was really wearing us down. We had to make a 50 mile round trip, sometimes twice a day, to pick them up or take them back and it was pretty tiring, not to mention the gas that was used. But at the same time, I really miss those guys. They were good kids (most of them) and they were fun to have around. It's nice to have my life and my house back again.
We have been busy this past month. We had to fix our bathroom downstairs. I decided we might as well paint the bathroom upstairs, too, so I did, and then I painted the bedroom the boys used. It was quite a project, but almost done. It feels good.
One of the last trips up to pick up the boys, I got into a car accident. I just got off the freeway, was stopped at a red light, the green arrow went on and I started to go, and someone came cruising through the intersection trying to make the yellow light. She missed the yellow light by a long shot but she got me good. Our Camry was totaled, but no one was hurt in the accident, which I am grateful for.
This post is not just for me. You will notice the blog is called the RICHARD GOODFELLOW FAMILY BLOG. That means everyone who is a descendent of Richard and Kathryn Goodfellow are welcome and encouraged to publish posts, pictures, etc. The purpose of this blog is so we can keep in touch and keep up with everyone's news. I want to see pictures of Shelly's grandkids. I want to know the accomplishments of Gwen's kids and Shane's kids. I want to know what Tori and Gunnar are doing. This can make a great family history for our grandkids and great grandkids if we let it. This blog really can't be successful without all of you participating. I don't have everyone's emails to add to the authors, but if you want to publish a new post, let me know and I will add your name. My email is vickiestumpe@comcast.net. I would like to see everyone of Mom & Dad's children represented here.
I love you all. Families are so important and I need everyone of you. I look forward to hearing from you.

New start

I am taking a blogging class that is being offered in Relief Society. So I am just using space right now to practice and figure this thing out. It is quite fun and I hope I can get this so other people can add to it when they want. This is just a picture of our walnut tree in the front yard.

This is David's new car. We are just doing samples in a class.
